not great but not bad.
The zoom lens did make a bit of a difference but not as dramatic as I hoped. I fit perfectly on the lens adapter I got and comes with a pretty cool case the helps protect both lens’ admirably. The wide angle lens however was a bit of a disappointment. Once it is attached there is a “cropping effect” on each corner which looks like a black half circle. In order to remove that negative effect you need to zoom in a bit and that defeats the purpose of the wide angle. Overall I wasn’t too happy with it.
2.2x Telephoto Lens for Canon A710
I feel this lens does an excellent job for the price which is about half the price of a similiar Canon Lens. It’s a lens I use only occasionaly because with todays digital pictures you can zoom and crop on your computer and still have a good quality picture if you take it with a 5 to 7 megapixel camera.
Good product
Lens are really good. The only thing I don’t like is that you can see wide angle lens black corners on the picture when camera’s zoom is completely opened. But this might me common on all lens.
The other products are ok, but their quallity is not the best… and I don’t think that tripod may hold my camera safelly. They should provide a bigger one.

Love this new toy
If you’re really looking to expand your creative possibilities, look no further (except maybe to the Lensbaby Composer). For the money and the creativity you can’t find a better item. These are one of a kind and pure fun. I also bought the single-glass optic to swap out and i do like that more than the plastic..however as Lensbaby is not selling one with a single-glass optic in it, I had to buy it seperately. But now I have the plastic one in this product and the extra single-glass to have fun with.
Extremely fun
This is a really fun lens but has a strong learning curve. You can’t use zone plate optic because you can’t really shoot long exposures with this lens. You have to manipulate the lens with your hands to focus and your hands must remain static. Otherwise, this is pretty awesome!
Fun dreamy FX
I bought the Muse with plastic optic. Very fun to use. Quick and easy to change aperture disks. I like the dreamy soft effect. I find it easier to use than I thought it would be. I will certainly purchase other optics.
I took a bunch of shots with my Nikon D80. At first I guessed exposure, then grabbed the light meter. I made a number of handheld shots and liked the results on the camera screen. When printed the shots looked sweet.
A well-made product I recommend.

A worthy purchase
The flexible skin stretches over the Nikon D3 while giving access to all areas of the camera. Obscured buttons are labelled which could be handy (I heard other camera armor models don’t have this). Also included is an LCD protector, which clips on to the lip below the screen at the back, ‘lens armor’ which is intended to protect your lens from side impacts, a lens cap lanyard which connects to the lens armor and finally a tripod extender screw.
The good:
- The main armor skin should help avoid minor scrapes of the D3 body and potentially lessen impacts. It doesn’t greatly increase the bulk of an already bulky machine but those with small hand-spans may notice a significant difference.
- The lens cap lanyard is something that really should be built into most lenses. I’ve lost plenty of caps or dropped them and got them dusty, so this is quite handy.
- That D3 label on the front of the camera? Hidden and the body to my mind doesn’t look quite as pretty. (Some might consider this to be a negative but I think the more generic a camera looks, the less of a target it will be).
The not so good:
- The lens armor only really fits one of my 4 main lenses and it stops me from reverse-attaching the sunshade for storage.
- The tripod extender tends to tighten on to my tripod plate rather than to the camera. Not such a big problem is you have the right tools to tighten it properly on to the body (E.g. An adjustable spanner).
- The armor skin gets slightly in the way of the on/off dial and some of the dials may take a little longer to access, requiring more pressure to be exerted to get through the skin.
On the whole, anything that can significantly protect an investment such as a D3 is a no-brainer and the camera armor seems to fit the bill. It is well thought out and very reasonably-priced – I’m impressed by the product. However, if you already find holding a D3 a bit of a stretch for your hand, then maybe this product isn’t for you as it will exacerbate the problem. Also, some people might not like the slick rubberised feel of the skin, preferring the solid grip of the naked body – I think I’ll get used to it.
A word of advice – if you do buy it, consider sitting on a bed or sofa when fitting it over your D3 body and especially over your lens. It would be a sad irony if you ended up dropping and breaking a lens on the hard floor installing something that is intended to prevent exactly that kind of damage!

A great bag that fits a lot of stuff
I just returned from a trip to LA where I got great use out of this bag. I bought it in the hopes that it would fit my DSLR camera, Dell Mini 9 netbook, Kindle, Palm TX, MP3 player, cell phone, a book and several magazines. It fit everything perfectly. I did buy a “large insert” from Domke for extra protection for my camera. The mini insert that comes with the bag wasn’t large enough for my Nikon D40. Turns out the large was a little too big…I might order the standard size insert. With all the interior pockets and the exterior pocket on the back it seemed that no matter what I brought with me for a day of exploring the J-803 could accommodate it perfectly. I also bought the U.S. Post Office Shoulder Pad which is a savior…no more of the bag sliding off my shoulder. I’ve had a number of Timbuktu bags but none compare to this Domke bag.

Exit Pupil–Refers to the size of the circle of light visible at the eyepiece of a binocular. The larger the exit pupil, the brighter the image. To determine the size, divide the objective lens diameter by the power (an 8×32 model has an exit pupil of 4mm).
Eye Relief–The distance a binocular can be held away from the eye and still present the full field-of-view. Extended or long eye relief reduces eyestrain and is ideal for eyeglass wearers.
Field-of-View (F.O.V.)–The side-to-side measurement of the circular viewing field or subject area, defined by the width in feet or meters of the area visible at 1000 yards or meters. A wide-angle binocular features a wide field-of-view and is better for following action. Generally, the higher the magnification, the narrower the field-of-view.

The filter every autofocus camera user NEEDS!
If you have an autofocus camera and shoot photos outdoors, this filter needs to be attached to the end of your lens. (If you have a manual focus camera you need a linear polarizer) The polarizer darkens blue skies (if the sky is light blue, you get deep, rich blue) and eleminates glare and reflection in glass and water.
With this filter, you can take a photo of someone standing in front of a window and not have the glare or reflection of the window shooting back into the lens. It also helps you shoot indoors at an aquarium (you can take crystal-clear photos of the killer whales and dolphins without glare from the glass).
This filter can’t take the photos for you, but it can make your photos look much more professional. The only thing to be careful of is the fact that the polarizer makes the image a little darker, so if you are shooting in dark light, you need a flash or a slower shutter speed.
Works, but causes flare
This item is either not coated or has a single coating and thus any time sun hits the filter, it produces flare in the picture. Furthermore, after doing more research it turns out that these uncoated or single coated filters can cause up to 9% light loss vs multi-coated filters like Hoya S-HMC or B+W MRC filters. As for polarizer effect itself, I think it’s amazing and you owe it to yourself to at least try it on a nice sunny day. (the sky and foliage will look completely different and alive)
Excellent Quality
The Tiffen circular polarizing filter does exactly what it’s supposed to do, and it does it well. The threading fits on my Nikkor lenses perfectly, screws on and stays put.
